GAMEIS was established in 1982

Founded in 1982, the Georgia Association of Managers of Educational Information Systems (GAMEIS) exists to support the professionals leading technology across Georgia’s K-12 school systems.

GAMEIS brings together district technology directors, IT leaders, instructional technology specialists, and education partners to learn, share, and lead. What began as a small professional network has grown into Georgia’s largest community dedicated to advancing K-12 education technology.

Why GAMEIS Matters

GAMEIS exists to help Georgia’s K-12 technology leaders make informed decisions, strengthen their systems, and better serve students, educators, and communities.

Built for District Technology Leaders

The GAMEIS Conference provides a focused environment where K-12 technology leaders explore the strategies, tools, and best practices shaping modern school systems. Attendees gain practical insight across key areas including:

  • Technology leadership and strategic planning
  • Network infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Data management and governance
  • AI and emerging technologies in education
  • Operational and technical management

Sessions and discussions align with the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) essential skills framework, ensuring attendees gain relevant, actionable knowledge they can apply in their districts immediately.

Designed for Connection

Held each July in Savannah, the GAMEIS Conference combines professional learning with meaningful connection. In addition to keynotes, breakout sessions, and a thriving exhibitor floor, attendees participate in networking events and family-friendly traditions such as the Ice Cream Social and Presidential Family Dinner.

This balance of learning and community is part of what makes GAMEIS unique and why so many district leaders return each year.

Registered attendees can access schedules, session details, and important updates through the official GAMEIS mobile app, available on the App Store and Google Play approximately two weeks before the conference.
