“I attended my first GAMEIS conference this year in Savannah. It was very informative on many levels. I attended several of the breakout sessions involving Google. Coweta County, where I work, is a primarily Google shop. The presenters in those sessions showed me stuff I knew but also a lot I didn't know. It was very helpful to hear and discuss how other districts are tackling some of the same issues we are having. I also attended some of the campus security breakout sessions. Obviously security in schools is important so seeing the newer technology on the market was very helpful for our future discussions here in our district. I truly enjoyed the final day discussion involving the three districts brave enough to share their experience with hackers. It was interesting to hear how each district handled the situation and what they would and would not do again if the situation arises.
